Bastille Day Bash

If you are looking for a Bastille Day celebration that highlights the ties between the United States and France, then you will want to attend the Second Saturday event at the Fredericksburg Area Museum on July 13. The museum is only about 10 minutes from The Fredericksburg Hospitality House, and all of the fun starts at 11 am. The free event begins with information about the Marquis De Lafayette who spent time in Fredericksburg and participated in both American and French Revolutions. In fact, all participants in the event will take home a Lafayette souvenir. Other exhibits include information about Fredericksburg’s French sister city, Frejus, and the historic “These Old Walls: A Town and Its Stories.” You will not want to miss this one of a kind opportunity to learn more about French and American history and the connections between the two. Plus, you will get a French flag to commemorate your visit.
